COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Investing in our community strengthens our youth and their families,
and contributes toward removing barriers to success.
Our community outreach work is a combination of our own events and supporting the efforts of other organizations. Some of our initiatives include Holiday Angels, Fairhill Family Project, COVID relief initiatives, and more.
Community outreach initiatives like these also create opportunities for youth in our programs to get involved in service work, and develop a sense of ownership and connection to their neighborhoods.
HOLIDAY ANGELS
December 2022
Youth served in this initiative are considered eligible by their schools for exemplary behavior, attendance, and grade achievement. Each child is given the opportunity to shop for holiday gifts for themselves, made possible through the generous support of our donors. Over the last two years, we have served 225 children from 6 community organizations serving 4 schools.
HELP THE HOMELESS INITIATIVE
April 2022
These events were for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, where they connected with needed services such as haircuts, medical screenings, and social services providers.
SWIM WITH MENTOR/DAD WITH CUYAHOGA COUNTY FATHERHOOD INITIATIVE
February 2020
The Initiative responds to escalating social concerns regarding "father absence" by providing fathers with access to services designed to prepare them to better meet the emotional, psychological, and financial needs of their children
