TONYA BATES
Vice-President
Tonya previously worked at both Cleveland Clinic Health System and University Hospitals of Cleveland. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, Psychology and Health Information Management. She earned her Master of Science Degree in Health Informatics from the University of Cincinnati. She also holds a Master of Science Degree in Management and Leadership (MSML). She is Certified in Healthcare Privacy and Security (CHPS). She is also an Adjunct Professor at Lakeland Community College teaching Healthcare Law and Ethics in their Health Information Management and Technology program. She serves on the Advisory Board for the Health Information Management/Technology programs at both Cuyahoga Community College and Lakeland Community College where she assists with developing the curriculum for both programs.
Tonya is a Director on the Board of Directors for American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), Past-President of the Northeast Ohio Health Information Management Association (NOHIMA), and Past-President of Ohio Health Information Management Association (OHIMA).
